RIVIERA UTILITIES will receive bids for:

EAST FERN AVENUE WATER MAIN EXTENSION (2025)

at the offices of The Utilities Board of the City of Foley, d/b/a. Riviera Utilities, 413 E. Laurel Ave., Foley, AL 36535, during normal office hours at any time before 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Following the designated submission time, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids are invited for all materials, labor, tools, and services necessary to install the EAST FERN AVENUE WATER MAIN EXTENSION (2025) per the design shown on the Construction Plans and as described in the Contract Specifications. The project generally consists of the installation of approximately 1700 linear feet of water system improvements along East Fern Avenue between North Cypress Street and Juniper Street North and associated work.

Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at the offices of Riviera Utilities, Foley, Alabama. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Riviera Utilities, negotiable U. S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid for Riviera Utilities, “EAST FERN AVENUE WATER MAIN EXTENSION (2025)”, shall be submitted with each bid.

All bidders must comply with the Contractor’s Licensing Laws of the State of Alabama (Ala. Code 1975,

Title 34, Chapter 8), and must be certified for the type of work involved. For bids exceeding $50,000 Bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed proposal as required by Alabama Law. For bids not exceeding $50,000, Bidder must either indicate his Certificate Number, or else write clearly "Bid does not exceed $50,000." It is also noted that any subcontractor performing Work in excess of $50,000.00 must also be licensed as a general contractor in the State of Alabama.

Riviera Utilities reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

Bids may be held by Riviera Utilities for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, before awarding of the Contract.
