24015 ADA Restroom & Exterior Improvements Historical Benton County Courthouse #19002

The Benton County Board of Supervisors will receive sealed bids for a contract for the ADA Restroom & Exterior Improvements Historical Benton County Courthouse Ashland, MS.

The scope of work includes:

Base bid- Make necessary roof repairs to the 3 tab shingle roof, matching existing shingles, replace all gutters ( and install gutter guard to keep out leaves) and downspouts matching the existing, scrape, repair, and prime and paint the exterior finish matching the existing paint colors, replace (with cypress, Spanish cedar, or mahogany) any rotted wood on the exterior fascia & trim and install a continuous soffit vent, repaint all (53 qty)existing exterior windows and seal all voids in the exterior envelop, and all work associated with installing a new accessible restroom per the contract documents.

-Alternate 1-Replace all shingles and roofing accessories and install new roofing underlayment (with one screw per square foot= 32 qty each 4x8 sheets) per the contract documents.
-Alternate 2-Restore 2 windows on the south side of the building (refer to A2.2 for restoration information and specifications) per the contract documents.
-Alternate 3-Manufacture to match existing windows, remove existing and replace 6 qty steel windows with matching glass and glazing windows in the Conference room area per the contract documents.

Since there is a very small amount of electrical and mechanical, these scope items will be delegated design.

Bids will be accepted on a lump sum basis. Segregated bids will not be accepted.

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked on the outside as “Bid for ADA Restroom & Exterior Improvements Historical Benton County Courthouse Ashland, MS September 2025A/E# 24015.” Any bid for a sum in excess of $50,000.00 shall contain on the outside or exterior of the envelope of such bid the contractor’s current certificate of responsibility number, and no bid shall be opened or considered unless such contractor’s current certificate number appears on the outside or exterior of the envelope or unless there appears a statement on the outside or exterior of such envelope to the effect that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000.00.

Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

A pre-bid conference will be determined at a later date.

Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The Benton County Board of Supervisors expressly reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities.
